This is an enchanting home in a very private setting, ideally located only 5km from the market town of Mauvezin. Surrounded by gardens and woodland, away from main roads and noise - this is a great place to relax and unwind.
The house is approached by a private drive (not suitable for low-slung vehicles) through oak woodland. The main door opens into a light, comfortably furnished sitting room with high ceilings and stone fireplace. The dining area has French windows to a charming covered terrace overlooking the garden.
The kitchen, with dining table, is fully-equipped and functional. It leads to a pretty conservatory - ideal for breakfast - which opens onto another sheltered east-facing terrace overlooking the swimming pool area.
Off the main lounge is a comfy TV room (with sofa bed), with access to a small study area and the pigeonnier tower. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor with en-suite shower area, and also a separate shower room with w/c.
Upstairs are a further two double bedrooms (one with en-suite shower room), and a bathroom on the half landing. In the pigeonnier there is a small double bed on the first floor (with wash-hand basin), and steps from here lead to twin beds on the top floor. These bijoux rooms are ideal for teenagers, but due to the steep ladder-style stairs may not be suitable for young children.
The garden is well maintained, with a swimming pool (8m x 5m) and sun terrace. The clay tennis court (a little tired!) will add a bit of exercise to your holiday, and for teenagers there is also a 'dependance' in the garden with a games room (table tennis, air hockey, pin ball and a mini pool table).
Sympathetically renovated in keeping with the style of the area, this charming stone-built house offers spacious and comfortable accommodation in a delightful setting.
