This lovely stone house in 2.5 acres of land with views over rolling countryside, offers an idyllic holiday retreat for the whole family. Renovated to a high standard, the owners have created a light, sophisticated home that still retains the charm of a typical Gascon property.
The generous hallway is the heart of this house, and forms a perfect dining area that easily accommodates the large table seating up to 12 people. Off the hall you will find a tastefully furnished living room with open fire, and a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen with French windows leading onto a large south-facing terrace.
On the other side of the hallway is a delightful double bedroom with en-suite shower room, and the master bedroom (with incorporated bathroom and a separate w/c). French windows open from here onto the terrace, overlooking the swimming pool and countryside beyond.
A modern spiral staircase from the kitchen brings you to the charming third double bedroom, also with en-suite, which can sleep up to 4 people (1 double and 1 bunk bed).
Go down the spiral stairs to the basement and you will find a large TV and computer room - an ideal retreat for children. This room has two sofa beds and so can also be used as a bedroom, with adjacent shower room and w/c. There is a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer on this level.
The large terrace and swimming pool area at the back of the house, with open views over the fields, is the perfect place to relax during the day. To one side there is a stylish pergola offering shade and comfortable seating - this is a great spot for pre-dinner drinks.
Le Pey is a quiet and secluded location at the end of a long drive - you are in the heart of Gascony, yet only 10 minutes' drive from the market town of Mauvezin, and close to many of the attractions this region has to offer.
